Merüljön el Verdi remekművében, a Rigolettóban, és szerezzen egy újabb felejthetetlen élményt velencei tartózkodásához. A Palazzo Barbarigo‐Minotto lenyűgöző hangulatában, gyertyafényben bontakozik ki az opera drámai ereje, nagyszerű énekesek és zenészek tolmácsolásában. Az Opera egy vándorelőadás, és minden felvonás az egyik leglenyűgözőbb velencei palota más‐más szalonjában játszódik. Az énekesek és a hangszeresek úgy lépnek fel, hogy közben a közönséggel együtt mozognak a Palazzo Barbarigo Minotto termeiben.
A Palazzo Barbarigo‐Minotto a XV. század körül épült nemesi palotaként, amely a velencei Canal Grande fölé néz. A tizennyolcadik század híres művészeinek gyönyörű alkotásaival ékesítve, Francesco Fontebasso, Giambattista Tiepolo, Girolamo Mingozzi és a stukkóművész Tencalla tökéletesen megőrzött műveit ma is megtekinthetik a csodálók és az ínyencek. Az eredetileg két különálló palotából álló épület ma három, a Canal Grande felé néző, és további három, a Rio Zaguri felé néző kabinetből áll. A belső térben található egy 17. századi kápolna, amelynek padlója XIV. Lajos stílusában szilfából készült, olajgyökér intarziával. Az ugyanilyen stílusú ajtók diófa sávozásúak és szőlőlevél alakú bronzkilincsekkel vannak ellátva, a kabinok padlója pedig a terrazzo és a ventiánus pastellone technikát ötvözi.
Ez a nemes velencei épület az év folyamán izgalmas operaelőadásoknak ad otthont — például Verdi "La Traviata" című operájának -, gyakran minden jelenet más‐más kabinban játszódik.
A Rigoletto a szenvedély, árulás, gyermeki szerelem és bosszú intenzív drámája. A tragédia központi témája az átok, amely kiváltja Rigoletto megállíthatatlan és tragikus bukását: "Az egész téma ebben az átokban rejlik, amely még erkölcsössé is válik" (G. Verdi).
Az opera első felvonása Tiepolo szobájában játszódik, ahol Anthony Knight csodálatos, 18. századi stílusok által inspirált jelmezei tökéletesen esztétikázzák a palota pazar barokk bútorzatát.
Rigoletto története a Palota termeiben bontakozik ki, ahol a gyertyafények egy Caravaggio‐festmény háttérvilágítását idézik, kiemelve az opera drámaiságát.
Az előadás szünetében, a Grand Canalra néző varázslatos környezetben a Musica a Palazzo egy pohár Proseccóval, üdítőkkel és finom likőrökkel kínálja önöket.

Sadly the description over‐promises and under‐delivers enormously. The description of the performance "set in one of the most fascinating Venetian palaces" allows one to think that the setting will be opulent, beautiful, palatial even; that could not be further from the truth! The "palace", if indeed that's what it is, is far from palatial. It's a run‐down house with little glamour or even comfort to offer the paying public. Instead, dressed befitting to the splendour one is expecting, one finds oneself in a cold, unwelcoming foyer, waiting in line for the doors to open (well, a cord to be unhooked by a shambolically dressed lad actually). When we reach the top of the stairs and into the main room of the house we are requested to take our seats in the room "down the end on the right" where we were met with about 70 wooden chairs to choose our seat from, as if in a school hall, in rows of 10 or less, a couple of small sofas, a piano and two chairs for the orchestra. Almost all of the audience sat down, looking around the room in bewilderment, each wondering if they'd been part of a live audience joke. To be honest, once we'd all realised that this was it, the shock turned to nervous laughter, hoping that the next couple to walk in dressed to the nines would also make the same contorted ignominious faces and quickly shuffling themselves along to an empty seat so as not to bring further attention to themselves. Come the performance, well, I can say that this was far from operatic. The cast and performance was nothing more than amateur dramatics; one of the characters even shouting rather than signing his lines. Upon the conclusion of the first act, and each thereafter, the audience is requested to move rooms too, which is somewhat bizarre, but hey, by that time nothing was going to surprise us. So, as you can probably determine, we'll not be rushing back any time soon. Save your money, dress up at home and watch The Snowman for the 27th time and marvel at the splendour of a teenage Aled Jones singing Walking in the Air; you'll be grateful you did, I promise ;-)

Bonjour, cela fait 4 ou 5 fois que nous assistons à une représentation de Musica Palazio. Ce sont des moments musicaux extraordinaires, d'une beauté et d'une présence hors norme, sans parler de la classe des chanteurs et musicien, et de la beauté du lieu. Je ne peux que remercier les chanteurs, musiciens et l'association. Nous reviendrons pour d'autres représentations, c'était d'ailleurs hier 26 décembre le principal motif de notre visite à Venisr
