The concerts of the Virtuosi di Venezia, (San Marco Chamber Orchestra) evoke the period of Antonio Vivaldi's residence in Venice. Vivaldi began work as a violin teacher in Venice in 1703, and later he was active as a violin master. During this time, the famous Italian composer wrote over 60 works. Starting in 1714, Antonio Vivaldi was the director of the Sant'Angelo theater. He left Venice in 1740.

Ambiente lieblos, speziell im hinteren Bereich waren die Requisiten störend; das Ensemble saß auf billigen Holzstühlen, es wirkte alles sehr touristisch. Weiters ist anzumerken, dass die Stücke "sehr rasch" gespielt wurden, in einer Stunde war das gesamte Programm abgearbeitet. Ich habe die 4 Jahreszeiten schon viel besser gehört.

Concert très agréable. Je regrette simplement que le nom des interprètes ne figurent pas sur le programme. J'aurais aimé connaitre le nom notamment du soliste violon des Quatre Saisons dont l'enthousiasme et la virtuosité étaient remarquables.
