Revel in the colorful pomp of Venice, heightened further by the splendors of the Chapel Royal. Benjamin Chènier and the Galilei Consort are joined by a cast of highly regarded soloists for this historic occasion.

Composed for a spectacular European celebration of the birth of the future Sun King, Rovetta's 'Mass for the birth of the Grand Dauphin' is played for the first time since it's premiere in 1639, in honor of the Tercentenary of Louis XIV’s death. The Mass is complemented by music from Monteverdi and Cavalli, as Venice comes to Versailles .
