Rachmaninoff, The Bells
Az eseményről
James Gaffigan conducts a stunning program featuring renowned soloists, the Radio Choir, and the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
The program begins with Pärt's Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten followed by a scene from Mussorgsky's Boris Godounov, the drama of Godounov's coronation and reign. Rachmaninoff based his compelling choral symphony on a text by Edgar Allan Poe — a story that illustrates all the great moments in human existence; birth, marriage, and death.
