Benjamin Alard: Ancient Music in Barcelona

Harpsichordist Benjamin Alard will perform an inspiring concert at the Santa Ana Church, in Barcelona.

This is the first edition of an ancient music cycle promoted by the Orfeó Català — Palau de la Música Catalana Foundation, with the aim to join forces with other organizations in order to turn the concert series into the city's major festival dedicated to this musical field. The series is dedicated to the figure of the pioneering harpsichordist Wanda Landowska, who had a constant presence in the musical life of Barcelona, and particularly in the setting of the Palau de la Música Catalana between 1909 and 1936.
