  I enjoyed the experience but with some reservations. The ensemble of six string players was quite competent. My disappointment lies in the fact that the solo violinist required the use of sheet music to read. She should have the music entirely memorized. She had her sheet music on a music stand which completely obstructed the view for the one third of the audience sitting on the right side. The audience attends a concert featuring a violin soloist, not only to hear the soloist play, but especially to see the soloist’s fingers and bow technique. I saw none of that from my seat.

  The place was great, so was the music. The low price made it very accessible — unfortunately this led to lots of people filming the performance and grabbing the attention of the people behind them with the bright LCD screen of the camera. I had two of these right in front of me and it really ruins what would have otherwise been a delightful concert.
