A brit zeneszerzői hagyomány gazdag, illusztris történelemmel büszkélkedhet, amely Purcell, Gibbons és az „örökbe fogadott” Händel révén kivételes zenei iskolává fejlődött. Az edwardi korszak hatásától a tehetséges Elgarig, akinek 1899‐ben megjelent Enigma‐variációi megerősítették hírnevét, mint kedvelt angol zeneszerző, William Waltonig, aki ragyogóan szórakoztató Façade Suite című művével vált ismertté, és Ethel Smythig, akinek a kürt és hegedű egyedülálló párosítására írt Concerto című műve egyik későbbi alkotását képviseli. | Zenekar: | Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements. |
