Lépjen be Giuseppe Verdi Aida című operájának drámai világába, amelyet a díjnyertes rendező, Benedikt von Peter értelmez a Berlini Német Operában.
Benedikt von Peter távol áll az Aida leghíresebb bombasztikus felvonulásaitól, és az operát inkább egy intim szerelmi történetnek és társadalmi nyomásnak tekinti. A zenészeket a színház egész területén elosztja, ezzel feloldva a hagyományos határokat és hangsúlyozva a "közönség tekintete" erejét, amely a fiatal egyiptomi tisztet, Radamest követi.
Radames hatalomra és a rabszolgává tett etióp hercegnő, Aida kezére vágyik. A fáraó azonban Radamest lányával, Amnerisszel akarja összeadni. Amikor Aida és Radames szerelme napvilágra kerül, végső döntést hoznak.

Deutsche Oper Berlin
Deutsche Oper Berlin is the biggest opera house in the German capital, and a member of the Berlin Opera Foundation established in the early 1900s. The original building was destroyed during the Second World War, but was eventually replaced, and the new theater opened in 1961 - six weeks after construction began on the Berlin Wall. Serving West Berlin, its sober, linear design avoids anything that might distract vistiors from the performance. The repertoire of the theater focuses on the great classics such as Mozart, Verdi and Strauss, but frequently presents contemporary opera as well. The Chorus of the Deutsche Oper has been named 'Chorus of the Year' many times for its outstanding performances.

Good singing. I have to remember to never attend an opera with “ modern settings.” I was embarrassed for Verdi.

An extremely interesting presentation of Aida. Beautifully done with fine singers and orchestra, concentrating on the underlying contradictions of the characters. Much enjoyed. Thank you Berlin
