Liszt Prize laureate Mihály Dresch is a prominent figure of contemporary Hungarian jazz, an outstanding saxophone player who created an individual musical universe that fuses Hungarian folk music and jazz.

A regular collector of Transylvanian folk music, and a frequent guest of dance houses, he sometimes appears with bands other than his own. Fuhun is his own invention, the name a portmanteau of furulya (Hungarian for pipe) and Hunnia. Made of wood by Dresch himself and employing saxophone keys, the instrument and its unique sound are the result of years of experimentation.
