Enjoy this concert titled "Mythical Scandinavia" with the Tonkünstler‐Orchester Niederösterreich in the Musikverein in Vienna.

Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius are among the most important musical ambassadors to their Scandinavian home, not least on account of the great number of brilliant masterpieces which they gave to the world: Grieg’s elegantly‐playful suite "From Holberg’s Time" and the sunlit 2nd Symphony by Sibelius open a colourful spectrum rich in mythical images. Håkan Hårdenberger proves that the calm power and plain elegance of northern European Music can still enchant us today. Rolf Martinsson’s trumpet concerto "Bridge" takes the audience to the contemporary Scandinavian world of sound, which is every bit as fascinatingly colourful as "Holberg’s Time".
