Kriszta Kováts: Tao Te Ching

演出简介

Kriszta Kováts and Edina 'Mókus' Szirtes turn their attention to the best‐known work of ancient Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu. Mókus's music captures both that which is timeless and that which is specific to today – helped in no small measure by her unusual instrumentation.

The “tao” – or “way” – is the ancient power of the creator, but it is not born of belief but of practical experience. The poems recommend and inspire a healthy lifestyle. The trinity of sky, man and earth is very important and it is our role to create harmony between the spiritual and the earthly, the yin and the yang. How do we address this challenge in today's unrelenting world?

Kováts and Mókus have used music, light and visual arts to respond to the questions posed by the “Old Master” Lao Tzu.
