"My very own personal piano album," is one way to characterise Pierre‐Laurent Aimard’s piano recital, which disregards all the genre’s conventions. The master of the subtlest of touch nuances playfully proves that lightness has always been a topic in music from Beethoven to the composers of the 21st century. Aimard creates a montage as the evening’s event by combining pieces and excerpts of pieces from his favourite composers in new, sensual compositions.
