Budapest Festival: Maisky & Prague Chamber Orchestra

演出简介

At the age of seventeen the Latvian‐born star cellist, Mischa Maisky was hailed as the “future Rostropovich”. Barely five years later he was imprisoned for eighteen months in a labour camp.

After his release he emigrated to Israel, and his career took off. He won the Gaspar Cassado Cello Competition in Florence, then appeared in Carnegie Hall in New York. He now lives in Belgium and tirelessly travels around the world, makes recordings, and lately he has been giving concerts with his violinist daughter (Lily Maisky) and pianist son (Sascha Maisky).

For his concert in Budapest he will be accompanied by the renowned Prague Chamber Orchestra, admired for its polished sound.
