Finnish National Opera: Daddy's Girl

演出简介

The Finnish National Opera presents "Daddy's Girl", by contemporary Finnish composer Olli Kortekangas, in Helsinki.

Daddy's Girl illustrates the history of independent Finland through the life stories of a mother, a daughter and a grandmother. This poignant tale showcases many of the collective memories that Finns hold dear: the direct and indirect consequences of the Second World War, the Cold War period, the worship of money, family troubles, love and forgiveness. Daddy's Girl (Isän tyttö) has been acclaimed as the composer's best opera to date.

The performance includes a brief episode of flashing light.
