The Afiara String Quartet performs at the "Tuesday Matinees" series at Merkin Concert Hall in the heart of New York City.

Winner of the 2008 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the prestigious Munich ARD International Music Competition, the Afiara String Quartet has been praised for its “startling intensity” and “powerful, keen‐edged collective sound” (San Francisco Classical Voice).
