Oslo Philharmonic: Hvoslef, Schumann & Tchaikovsky

演出简介

Eivind Gullberg Jensen conducts the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and piano soloist Hélène Grimaud in a concert featuring Schumann's piano concerto.

The piano was Schumann’s first agent for expression. He left behind a large collection of solo pieces, but only one piano concerto – a masterpiece. Hélène Grimaud is known as a masterly interpreter of styles, from Bach to modern. Among her numerous recordings is also Schumann’s piano concerto with Deutsche Grammophon. The young Norwegian conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen has achieved remarkable international success.

The brand new composition by Norwegian composer Ketil Hvoslef offers a taste of local colour at the beginning of this appealing concert programme.
