We are delighted to welcome the Israel Philharmonic, which is celebrating its 70th birthday in 2007. The orchestra gave its very first concert in December 1936, under the baton of Toscanini. The Philharmonic's understanding with Zubin Mehta has developed over decades of working together, marked by many great concerts and recordings. They will perform one of Mahler's most monumental symphonies, the Seventh, dubbed 'Nachtmusik'.
