Good Friday concert — Brahms, German Requiem

演出简介

Roland Böer has studied composition and conducting. Even though he has been more active in the theatre, he also feels at home at concert halls. In the summer of 2006 he had his debut with the London Symphony Orchestra at the opening concert of the London festival 'Mostly Mozart'. He has performed with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Munich Radio Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra. His future engagements include concerts with the Swedish Royal Opera (Manon Lescaut), Deutche Oper Berlin (The Magic Flute), Frankfurt (The Master Singers of Nuremberg), English National Opera (The Marriage of Figaro), etc. An all‐round musician Roland Böer is a pianist and cellist and particularly enjoys playing chamber music. German Requiem is the 35‐year‐old Johannes Brahms%u2019 first finished choir work. The title German Requiem for Brahms means more of an alternative to normally Latin requiem, not anything particularly German‐like. In collaboration with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir
