Volksoper Vienna: Tchaikovsky Impressions

演出简介

The Ballet Tchaikowsy Impressions is performed by dancers of the Wiener Staatsoper and the Volksoper Ballet.

The inspiration for this full‐length creation by the Italian choreographer Ivan Cavallari comes from new theories surrounding Peter Ilitch Tchaikovsky’s death. His close relationship to Nadjeshda von Meck, which was maintained only through letters, is contrasted with a contemporary form of communication. Tchaikovsky’s compositions — among them the overtures to Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet — form the musical basis for the work.
