His trumpet playing once made him famous, but the world has long known Ludwig Güttler as a conductor and music researcher, festival founder, advocate and supporter of the reconstruction of Dresden's Frauenkirche. Trained in Leipzig, then first as an orchestra musician, Güttler began his international soloist career during this time. An enthusiastic audience and euphoric reviewers accompanied him on his way as soloist, chamber musician and conductor.
