The Verdi Orchestra and the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini of Parma come together under the direction of Jader Bignamini for an exceptional symphonic concert entirely dedicated to 20th century music by Dmitri Šostakovič and Richard Strauss. In their absolute diversity and cultural distance, their voices and styles have welcomed, with amazing results, the many and often incompatible faces of history and music of that century between realism and idealism, between avant‐garde and tradition.
