Schütz & Bach: Vox Luminis at the Oratoire du Louvre

Hear Heinrich Schütz's moving "Musikalische Exequien" and a selection of motets by the Bach family, performed by Vox Luminis under the direction of Lionel Meunier.

The "Musikalische Exequien" were written by Heinrich Schütz for the funerals of Count of Reuss‐Gera, who was a longtime protector and friend of the composer. Several motets by Johann, Johann Christoph, Johann Michael, and Johann Ludwig Bach are also on the program of this evening.
