Beethoven's orgiastic Seventh Symphony is one of the most popular classical works, but his lyrical oboe concerto is rarely performed. In Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto the Israeli musician Lahav Shani can be heard as soloist and conductor. The winner of the international Gustav Mahler Conductors' Competition 2013 is also an excellent pianist and the youngest principal conductor in the history of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra.
