Muhai Tang & Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra

The Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Muhai Tang bring together European and Asian music traditions in the Palace of Arts in Budapest.

On the program are two famous and beloved works by Grieg and Beethoven, as well as a Symphonic Poem by Tan Dun which brings together the eastern influences of its composer with the influence of western classical music. Guan Xia's work, on the other hand, was composed in the more traditional way of the composer's home country.
