Philippe Jordan conducts the Orchestre de l'Opéra National de Paris in a series of concerts dedicated to Tchaikovsky's six symphonies.

During this first concert at the Opéra Bastille, Tchaikovsky's First, also called Winter Daydreams, and Fifth will be played. The Fifth is one of the most popular among the six symphonies and the only one to have a recurring theme in all four movements that symbolizes providence.
