Orpheus in the Underworld, Musica Bayreuth

Jaques Offenbach's "Orpheus in the Underworld" will be performed by the comedian Michael Quast and pianist Rhodri Britton at this year's festival.

The Musica Bayreuth Festival has been among the most important cultural activities in Northern Bavaria for 50 years.

Since its founding in 1961, the festival has hosted internationally acclaimed artists as well as promising young musicians. This year, the audience will enjoy a programme ranging from jazz to baroque music, from opera to sacred compositions.
