Iphigenie en Tauride, tragédie lyrique by Christoph Willibald Gluck (1714‐1787) in four acts with libretto by Nicolas‐François Guillard based on the homonymous tragedy by Guymond Claude de La Touche (1757) and Euripides (c 412) was premiered at the Académie Royale de Musique in Paris on 18th May 1779.
