Cello Festival: Tribute to the Russians #2

О событии

In honour of the "Year of France‐Russia", the Festival de Violoncelle de Beauvais presents a series of concerts featuring Russian composers at the National Gallery of Tapestries.

The Festival de Violoncelle de Beauvais offers an opportunity to enjoy the deep sonorities of the cello in all of the instrument's many guises, from solo suites to Romantic concertos. This year's artistic director is Pieter Wispelwey, a young master cellist, whose expertise ranges from the baroque to contemporary music. Programming and composition for the festival was guided by the young French composer Bruno Montovani.

Enjoy works for cello by Russian composers performed by Patrick Demenga (cello) and James Alexander (piano) at the Festival de Violoncelle de Beauvais in Northern France.
