Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía

О событии

The Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía performs at the Thália Theatre during the Budapest Spring Festival 2010.

The production "El Poema del Cante Jondo – en el Café de Chinitas" is based on works by Federico García Lorca. Choreographer and artistic director Cristina Hoyos feels that Lorca, the poet of Granada is “magical” and “very close” because he was able to portray femininity and women’s fate as slaves so precisely. “He was very fond of flamenco, he organised the first flamenco competition in Granada, wrote many songs and always had a strong attachment to flamenco and the Gypsy inhabitants of the city,” said the dancer.

Enjoy the thrilling rhythms of flamenco dance at this year's Spring Festival in Budapest.
