Hartmut Haenchen will direct the Orchestre de Paris for the first time, in a performance featuring Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.

True to its history, this orchestra of 119 full‐time musicians offers a vast repertoire extending from symphonic works to opera and the music of our own time. Since September 2006 it has been in permanent residence at the Salle Pleyel, where it rehearses and performs all the concerts in its Paris season.

In his final season at the head of the Orchestre de Paris, Christoph Eschenbach has gathered an array of his favourite artists, choosing works that have been central to his career as a conductor and as a pianist.
