The Girardi Ensemble with the presentation by Thomas Höft invites to a special highlight of styriarte 2008 programme: the last hours of the First Class on Titanic with a musical soirée including Bizet and Brahms, and a dinner prepared by a gourmet chef!

The noblest families of high society were on board when the RMS Titanic set off on her maiden voyage in April of 1912. The guests were celebrating a great dinner as the ship's orchestra played popular salon music, while the ship was on its path to doom. A collision with an iceberg tore the ship open, yet the dauntless orchestra played on until the ship went under, into the icy floods of the North Atlantic.

The Girardi Ensemble plays the music that was to be heard in those last hours on board, while the kitchen serves a multi‐course meal based on the last dinner on board of the Titanic. You will enjoy a special evening with highlights of classical music and an exquisite dinner.
