Experience the great Wagnerian interpreter Waltraud Meier with the Kammerorchester under the baton of Paul McCreesh in works by Wagner and Tchaikovsky.
Wagner’s Siegfried‐Idyll and the Wesendonck‐Lieder are personal works that were written in the context of his operas. The Idyll was composed after the birth of his son, while the Lieder (sometimes literally) anticipate Tristan – they will be interpreted by Waltraud Meier, whose portrayal of Isolde is legendary. The works will be heard alongside Tchaikovsky’s imaginative Third Orchestral Suite.
