RCO Brass: Bach to Gershwin

Meet the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra's fabulous brass players as they sound a fanfare to Sunday. Joined by RCO Concertmaster, Vesko Eschkenazy, they play a varied program designed to show brass at its best!

Tracing a path from the Renaissance to the present day, among the works on offer are Bach's Third Brandenburg Concerto, and Handel's 'The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba'. Less familiar, perhaps, is Vittorio Monti's Csárdás, or Tielman Susato's 'Suite'. However, Shostakovich' 'Festival Overture' and a selection of Gershwin brings the audience firmly back into well‐known, and much‐loved, territory.
