The Academy of St Martin in the Fields and piano legend Murray Perahia bring a colorful classical‐romantic program from the Thames to the Elbe. In the dual role of conductor and pianist, Perahia will shine in Schumann's piano concerto, written by the composer for his wife Clara, and in Beethoven's expressive 'Coriolan' overture as well as Schubert's popular 'Unfinished' Symphony, which came to the concert halls 37 years after his death.
