Brahms’ yearning Ballade for Piano in B Major was the source of inspiration for Gérard Pesson's 2008 Nebenstück, while György Kurtág's reverence for Schumann lead him to compose the openly admiring Hommage à Robert Schumann. Brahms' Clarinet Trio, and Ivan Fedele's 'Imaginary sky‐lines' complete a lush and lyrical program.
