Divas' whims: musical joust at the Royal Academy of Music

Talented artists offer a performance of a lifetime with the famous divas of Händel's time, such as soprano Francesca Cuzzoni, contralto Anastasia Robinson and castrato Senesino.
When the Royal Academy was created, Händel organized a series of vocal joust between the most famous singers at the time. Myriam Arbouz, Anthea Pichanick and Paul‐Antoine Benos‐Djian embody these often whimsical performers and sing a selection of Händel's most virtuoso arias, whereas comedian Philippe Vallepin plays the composer himself.
