Rossini & Berlioz: Orchestral Music Series

О событии

Warmly welcomed to Lithuania, French Maestro Cyril Diederich appears with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and pianist Evelina Puzaite performing works by Rossini, Dohnanyi and Berlioz.

In the past this conductor has captivated audiences with his original interpretations of French music – his performance of Messiaen’s Turangalila in autumn 2010 has left an unforgettable imprint in everyone's memory. This time he presents Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, his compatriot’s score that has received the most controversial reactions from his contemporaries (from the exasperation and candid critic to laudation). Tonight the Philharmonic stage also presents Evelina Puzaitė, the Lithuanian pianist of a younger generation. A graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, and Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, she has earned recognition for her natural sensuousness and charming stage presence. Currently she is preparing for her Carnegie Hall debut.

The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society welcomes symphonic music lovers to the Orchestral Music Series in Vilnius.
