Bravo! Cosa rara!: styriarte 2011

О событии

Concentus Harmonie, directed by Milan Turković, performs works of Haydn, Mozart, and Druschetzky.

Musicians showed innovation in arranging successful melodies long before pop hits were sampled and cover versions were broadcast on radio waves. Arias from Mozart’s operas were first introduced to the public as "harmoniemusik", as wind arrangements. In the second finale of his Don Giovanni, Mozart himself mocks his contemporaries in their addiction to creating operatic sounds for wind instruments as Leporello sings, “Bravi! Cosa rara!” when he recognises an aria.

This year’s styriarte invites listeners to test their skills and discover the pieces hidden in this compilation.
