Kronprinz Rudolfshof

Viena, Austria

The 'Kronprinz Rudolfshof', named after Emperor Francis Joseph's I son, Crown Prince Rudolph, who died so tragically at Mayerling in 1889, has already seen more than 100 years of colourful history. Sigmund Freud, C.G. Jung, and Albert Einstein were frequent guests here.

Located in the heart of Grinzing, the Kronprinz Rudolfshof offers a unique atmosphere, which combines the architecture of the Austro‐Hungarian monarchy, a typical Viennese Heurigen, and elements of modern art.

Highlights are the 'Beethoven Fountain' originally situated in the house where the famous composer died, and the new pavillion, reflecting the style of Friedensreich Hundertwasser and now home of the 'First Grinzinger Heurigen Show'. With its own bakery and excellent restaurant, the Kronprinz Rudolfshof provides culinary delights, Viennese cuisine, and fine wines for their guests.
