The Teatro Principal de Palma de Mallorca (in Catalan Teatre Principal) is a performing arts center located in the capital of the Balearic Islands (Spain). Opened in 1857. In 2001, the Consell de Mallorca, created the Teatre Principal de Palma Foundation, the organization that would provide better management in the institution. The Foundation agreed to close the theater to undertake a major reform, from 2001 to 2007. During this time it continued its activity in all alternative scenarios. Reopened in 2007 with great success and all kinds of new technology, management continues with a program that welcomes all types of repertoire plural.
