Nederlander Theatre

The Nederlander Theater marks the southernmost point of New York’s Theater District, from its position on West 41st Street. Not satisfied with this distinction, the Nederlander also joins a small, but exclusive group of Broadway theaters not originally constructed for theatrical purposes.

Home to the original Broadway production of 'Rent' for twelve years, the theater was refurbished when the production closed in 2008. Subsequent successes at the Nederlander have included 'Newsies', 'Motown the Musical', and 'War Paint'.
