Edita Gruberova: La Straniera

The Primadonna Assoluta di Belcanto, Edita Gruberova, will be performing her world debut of Alaide in a concert version of Bellini's "La Straniera" in Munich.

Gruberova will be accompanied by the Munich Opera Orchestra and  Chorus under the baton of Pietro Rizzo.

The concert version of the opera will be performed in Italian with German sirtitles.

    Bei Edita Gruberova und auch der übrigen Starbesetzung versteht sich diese Bewertung fast schon von selbst. :-) Kaum zu glauben, dass diese schöne Oper in München seit 175 (!) Jahren nicht mehr gespielt wurde.

    Gute Stimmen; Stück leidet etwas unter der konzertanten Aufführungssituation.
