Celebrate 25 Years with Chicago Chamber Musicians

O wydarzeniu

The Chicago Chamber Musicians conclude their Signature Series season with a program that features every ensemble artist with works by Wagner, Brahms and John Stevens.

Wagner's intimate and emotional symphonic poem, Siegfried Idyll, was originally written for the composer's wife's birthday. John Stevens' rich anc cyclical work for brass quintet depicts the seasons musically in four movements. Brahms' Serenade No. 1 is better known in its adopted orchestral version, but this is an opportunity to hear the beautiful and lyrical work in the chamber ensemble form for which it was originally composed.

Featuring all members of the Chicago Chamber Musicians and guest artists:

Mary Stolper, flute
Julie DeRoche, clarinet
Gabrielle Webster, horn
Matthew Gaunt, tuba
Peter Lloyd, double bass
