The Prince of Motordu
Over het evenement
The Orchestre National d'Île‐de‐France performs The Prince of Motordu, a work for young audiences based on the character of Pef and conducted by Marc‐Olivier Dupin.
The Prince of Motordu, who came into the world of paper in 1980, is the title of a series of picture books by Pierre Elie Ferrier. Pef created a character that distorts the words and phrases such as children often do when trying to speak.
It was the children of Motordu who expressed their desire to attend a classical music concert. Motordu, who begins the work with a "NO! " as powerful as categorical, tells of his disastrous years of violin. No, he will not come to the music. She should come to him. The show ends with a "YES! " as impressive as its opposite beginning. Life of the orchestra will be transformed to the pleasure of Motordu, reconciled with one of the most precious gifts of Humanity: the music!
Commissioned work by Gallimard and the Orchestre National d'Ile de France.
