Tetzlaff, Antonini & Kammerorchester Basel: Dvorak Prague Festival
Over het evenement
The Kammerorchester Basel is today one of the most sought‐after chamber orchestras in Europe. At the Dvořák Prague Festival the orchestra will accompany internationally renowned violinist Christian Tetzlaff in Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major. For twenty years Tetzlaff has ranked among the very best solo and chamber violinists, and both audiences and critics value him in particular for his ability to convey the intentions of the composer perfectly, from Bach to contemporary composers. Joseph Haydn's Symphony No. 102 is also featured on the program under the baton of Giovanni Antonini.
The Dvořák Prague Festival is not only a celebration of the work of the musical genius and the world's most acclaimed Czech composer, Antonín Dvořák, but also an important social event. It is a parade of outstanding performers, conductors, internationally recognized orchestras, and chamber ensembles that come to Prague to present Dvořák's music and other works of world‐renowned composers to an international audience.
