Remarkable virtuoso violinist Leonidas Kavakos and the unparalleled Chamber Orchestra of Europe perform three towering works created from the unmistakable aesthetic style of classical Vienna.

Mozart's sparkling Violin Concerto No. 4 in D Major will be followed by the "Classical" First Symphony of Prokofiev, whose Viennese inspiration resulted in the birth of a crystalline music with clear shapes and infectious melodies. Schubert's powerful Ninth Symphony (the "Great"), one of the master composer's most innovative, will close the program.
