Sir Simon Rattle, the Berlin Philharmonic, and Canadian soprano Barbara Hannigan offer a theatrical and virtuosic concert dedicated to works of three great twentieth‐century masters.

With Schoenberg's ethereal Transfigured Night and three fragments from Berg's visceral opera Wozzeck on the first half of the program, the afternoon will conclude with the Berliners' highly anticipated interpretation of The Rite of Spring. Stravinsky's once‐controversial ballet celebrates its hundredth anniversary in 2013, and the now hallowed pages of its score will burst dynamically to life with Sir Simon Rattle and the Berlin Philharmonic.
