Passione in Due
공연 정보
Choreographer Emio Greco and composer Franck Krawczyk, alone on stage, go deeper into their study on the relation between dance and live music.
After the last section of Dante’s trilogy, presented the previous month, Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten return to "[purgatorio] In Visione", the second section built on a transcription for 30 musicians of Bach’s Passion according to Saint Matthew by Franck Krawczyk, composer who for many years has delved into the art of transcription and its subtle relation between memory, fidelity and adaptation. Passione in Due offers a variation on this fascinating work by Bach, known throughout the world, and returns to the power and intimacy of the duo. The majestic solo of the lone dancer is this time accompanied and solicited by the lone piano of the composer, who thus goes further into his exploration of Bach’s masterpiece, striking at its intimate essence and offering it to the body of a dancer who never ceases to search, down to his very bones, the origin of a movement by transcending its limits.
With Pieter C. Sholten, creative partner of Emio Greco, they take a new look at their own work, which tends to open itself up, like a transcription of itself, into a space created between the one and the other, a new perspective on escape.
