Whoever hears Christian Steyer and his choir can feel it: the pulsating energy of old German Christmas songs. The composer and actor, who lives in Berlin, has carefully arranged well‐known pieces such as 'Maria durch ein' Dornwald ging', 'Kommet, ihr Hirten' and 'Es kommt ein Schiff geladen' with elements from various genres and transformed them into a sonic miracle for choir and piano. A pleasant change from the usual Christmas time music making and a pleasure for lovers of modern as well as classical music.
The Berlin Soloist Choir has already given more than 100 concerts with top‐class musicians. The young singers have won numerous jazz prizes and scholarships and can be heard again and again in music and film projects.
