Ensemble intercontemporain, Latvian Radio Choir, Heinz Holliger & Sophie Cherrier
공연 정보
Witness the spectacle of this sixth Biennial of Vocal Art, with all its dramatic interplay between the Baroque, the Lied and present‐day scores of Holliger and Rihm.
Heinz Holliger's Scardanelli Cycle constantly surprises and moves listeners with its sonic creations -- from the glass harmonica evoking winter to the rhythmic autonomy of each singer following his or her own pulse. Hear the composer conduct this grand homage to Hölderlin with its various parts: "The Seasons", for mixed a cappella chorus with ad lib instrumental accompaniment; "(t)air(e)", a study in the limits of register and breathing for solo flute; a series of "delicate exercises" for small orchestra; and "Tower Music", for flute solo, ensemble, and band, in honor to a tower in which Hölderlin stayed.
A pre‐concert event will be offered in Médiathèque on the evening of the performance from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Entrance is free with a telephone reservation at: 01 44 84 44 84.
